"If you ask me what experience is a must during your undergraduate degree, I wholeheartedly believe that becoming an APEX Ambassador and attending the APEX conference is indispensable. Last year, I had the incredible opportunity to serve as the APEX 2024 Ambassador for my university community, and it was one of the most rewarding experiences of my academic journey. It challenged, taught and inspired me! As an APEX Ambassador, I learned invaluable lessons that went far beyond the classroom. I discovered how to push myself to new limits and develop essential skills in event marketing and promotion. Advertising the APEX conference to a broad and diverse audience across different faculties was both demanding and exhilarating. Promoting the event required creativity and strategic thinking, especially since I was on a Co-op work term and couldn't be on campus to conduct classroom talks. This situation forced me to think outside the box and devise unique strategies to engage students and faculty members effectively.Despite these challenges, the experience was immensely fulfilling. It was exciting to see the positive impact of our efforts as more students became aware of and interested in the APEX conference. Knowing that I played a role in its success was incredibly gratifying.
The APEX conference itself was phenomenal, filled with inspiring speakers, insightful workshops, and unparalleled networking opportunities. Representing my university and contributing to the vibrant APEX community was an honor. I highly recommend this experience to any student looking to enhance their undergraduate years. It not only builds professional skills but also broadens your horizons and connects you with like-minded individuals.
If you have the opportunity, seize it - you won’t regret it!!"
